PH Coast Guard intensifies patrol over Cebu Island

Following the bombings in Mindanao, PH Coast Guard Central Visayas intensifies maritime patrol around seas of Cebu Island.

This is to prevent entry of terrorists into the region.

Policemen to dance in Sinulog 2019

Central Visayas Policemen will dance at the Sinulog Grand Parade. They will also be joining the parade with their own float. 

On the other hand, authorities also beef up security with no backpack policy along with bomb explosion simulations.

Cebu drug suspect killed in police car ambush

Drug suspect with alleged ties to self-confessed drug lord Franz Sabalones killed in a police car ambush in Argao town.

Tocillo Ababon was on his way to an Argao court when suspects on board three motorcycles started shooting at them. 

The two police escorts were unharmed. They were both wearing life vests.

PRO 7 director Debold Sinas wants a thorough investigation on the incident. 

Last year, two other ambush incidents killed suspects while on their way to Court in Cebu.

Strict security for Sinulog 2019 and Santo Nino Feast

Authorities said there are no imminent threats for Sinulog and Fiesta Señor. Security measures in place are all precautionary.
